The Den Experience

Additional Information

  • The Den off Eastlake is a clothing optional bed & breakfast for men. 

  • The Bathroom with multi-person shower is shared by all guests and is cleaned and maintained daily

  • Guests are sent a unique door code the day of check-in when the room is ready and their bill has been paid.

  • We will answer questions and offer recommendations about Chicago to the best of our ability.

  • Guests are allowed to have visitors, but only with approval due to security reasons

  • Smoking is allowed only outside in the front garden.

  • Pets are not allowed 

  • Off street parking is available for $15.00/night.

  • Streetside parking is available on a first come basis and free.

  • Parking Garages are located on Sherwin and Sheridan, The Howard St. Station, and the BP gas station.

  • Public transit is the CTA Red and Purple L lines, the 147 (Outer Lake Shore Express) and 22 (Clark)bus, all take you closest to The Den off Eastlake.

    • You should download the Ventra App to use transit.

    • Day passes are $5.00 for 24 hours on all Chicago public transit 

    • 1 compliementary Ventra Day Pass for CTA is included your nightly rate. One pass per room. (Non-Applicable for Reservations made before Aug 1)

  • Central Air is available in warm months

  • Complimentary, non-alcoholic beverages (Soda, sparking water, coffee, and tea are available 24/7 in the mini-fridge in the kitchen

  • Check-in is at 3:00 pm and Check-out is at 1:00pm

    • Notify us if you would like to check-in early or check-out late ​

    • Note: Although you may be able to arrive early, we cannot guarantee that your room will be ready for you until the normal check-in time of 3:00pm.  However, if you are early, you can arrive early be comfortable and when your room is ready, we will move your luggage into your room.

Clothing Optional

The Den off Eastlake is clothing optional for guests based off of their comfort level. Clothing Optional means you can wear as much or little clothing as you desire while inside The Den off Eastlake. We leave this up to the guests and let them set the tone for what is acceptable attire during their stay. Clothing is required outside the bed & breakfast, such as in the garden or on the pier. Please feel free to ask any questions or address any concerns you may have about this.

 *Please Note: Clothing Optional is not an open invitation for sex. Nudity does not always mean sex. We are adults and ask everyone respect others and ensure consent before physically engaging with another.

Safety Practices

  • Your host and assistants are fully vaccinated for Covid 19

  • Our bathroom is cleaned and sanitized daily.  

  • All surfaces, doorknobs, handles, etc are wiped down daily with disinfectant.

  • All bedding, towels, and are washed or steamed to disinfect between guests.

  • All mattresses and upholstered furniture is steam cleaned to disinfect on a regular schedule 

  • Hard floor surfaces are steam cleaned daily.

  • If you are feeling unwell, or have a temperature please contact us before arriving
